The Resurrection as Eternal Victory
The risen Christ abolishes death, breaks the power of Satan, opens the way to the Father, and brings life and immortality to light.
But an Eternal Victory over Death, Sin, and Satan, and the Consecration of God’s Kingdom for the Sake of Humanity, and the Illumination of the Path of Life and Immortality, and Our Entry by Our Nature into the Most Holy Places, and Our Obtaining Eternal Redemption and Eternal Righteousness
We can summarize the effects of the resurrection as follows:
Annihilation of Him Who Has the Power of Death—the Devil
Christ conquered death by His resurrection, and consequently conquered the lord of death. And by the power of His resurrection, since He granted every person the ability and right to rise from the dead, He has thereby stripped Satan of his authority over every person who believes in the resurrection of the dead.
“Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same things, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil.” — Hebrews 2:14
“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” — 1 John 3:8
Death Will No Longer Have Dominion over Him, for He Abolished Sin Forever
“Knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death He died, He died to sin once for all, but the life He lives, He lives to God.” — Romans 6:9–10
“...who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.” — Romans 4:25
Opening the Way to God Through Atonement by His Blood
“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh...” — Hebrews 10:19–20
He Subjected under His Feet All Principalities, Authorities, and Powers, Making the Way to God Unhindered
“...and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” — Ephesians 1:19–23
He Abolished the Shadows of Death, and by His Resurrection Illuminated Life and Immortality
“...but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.” — 2 Timothy 1:10
